HOME HEALTH CARE, INC. was started in 1983 and later incorporated in
1986 by William H. (Bill) Griffin out of a strong and sincere concern for
my fellow man and an asserted desire to be in business for myself.
The company was started in a small manner serving the patrons, patients
and customers primarily in the Charlotte Area with durable medical equipment,
wound care, ostomy, and bathroom safety. Much of our early success
was attributed to the kind and professional service but also because contrary
to much of the competition, we accepted assignment from Medicare and many
other major insurance carriers. The company has grown as has the
needs of the community thus we have added respiratory, post mastectomy,
diabetics, sleep therapy, and sports medicine.
In
1989, we moved from the independent drug store setting where “it” all began
to a 2400 square foot facility on a main artery connecting downtown Charlotte
to the southeast corridor of the city to include Matthews and Monroe.
The relocation stimulated growth and proved convenient for many customers
and patrons throughout the Metrolina Area which includes all of Charlotte
Mecklenburg and surrounding counties. We have continued to grow in
services, customer base, and product lines and are always searching for
new and improved products and services as needs arise. In 1997 we
expanded from the 2400 square foot facility to approximately 9000 square
feet of warehouse, showroom, and office so as to serve the patrons, patients,
and customers more efficiently and effectively. Again, the expansion
has proven to be very beneficial.
Currently
we provide a wide range of home medical equipment and related supplies
for individual patients, physicians, clinics, assisted living centers,
nursing facilities as well as a wide variety of commercial accounts.
All of this is accomplished by a committed staff of about 20 associates.
The company and staff make an asserted effort to maintain the highest degree
of professionalism, honestly, sincerity, and integrity with every patient
and care giver we serve, with every doctor and health care professional
that we have contact, and with every customer who calls or walks in the
door. We make every attempt to locate those hard to find items, to
stock an adequate supply of inventory to meet the customer needs and to
try to fill the wants and wishes of all our patrons in as timely manner
as possible. We take pride in our business and care for our customers,
realizing that they “pay our salary.” We provide delivery of equipment,
whether rental or sale. We encourage our patrons to pick up supplies
however we will ship these by either US Mail of UPS. We aim to please!
We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, Medicare, Medicaid,
and most major insurances.
Anyone
needing services will receive those services to the extent they can be
effectively and efficiently provided, and when necessary, supported by
a physician's order.
In
keeping with our philosophy of continued self-improvement, Griffin Home
Health Care received a North Carolina Home Care License to provide Clinical
Respiratory Services. We continue to grow, however our goal remains the
same "To provide the best quality patient care and to strive for excellence
